Well, it finally happened! During the Superstar Shake-up earlier this year on April 11th Charlotte was moved from Raw to Smackdown Live. It has been 7 months of Charlotte biding her time to get that title but my girl finally got the SDLive Women’s Championship tonight!
This makes Charlotte the first woman in WWE history to hold the NXT Women’s Championship, Divas Championship, WWE Women’s Championship (before the brand split), Raw Women’s Championship and now finally: the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship. To say I am overjoyed is an understatement. I admire this woman so much! She has a huge heart full of love and determination and you can tell she’s a lovely person through her social media posts, interviews and through her own stories in the book she co-wrote with her father Ric Flair, Second Nature.
She has been through so much tragedy in her life but she perseveres and comes out stronger than ever. She is truly an inspiration and someone that I look to when I start to feel a little weak. I remember her struggles with her past relationships, I remember the heartache she feels about her little brother passing away and the guilt she carries in herself because she feels she could have done more to save him. “He saved me,” is what she always says when she speaks about her little brother. Her drive and determination to make him proud, her family proud and herself proud is admirable.
The Raw Women’s Champion versus the Smackdown Live Women’s Championship will battle it out this Sunday at Survivor Series, which means that the card just switched from Alexa Bliss vs Natalya to Alexa Bliss vs Charlotte Flair and I am beyond thrilled! I am also a big Alexa Bliss fan and I can’t wait to see two of my favorites in the ring together. My bet will always be on Charlotte no matter who she is facing, so I’ll definitely be #TeamBlue this weekend! I can’t wait!
